All You Need To Know About Anxiety and How To Overcome Anxiety and Fear Naturally
Principle Behind Anxiety
You must already have faced the anxiety at some point in life, so you know how it feels. Anxiety is a feeling which has one basic purpose, that is to keep us safe from potential dangers. We are supposed to feel anxious when we face any danger like a tiger in front of us, or standing on height with narrow path.
Anxiety also motivates us to take actions to stay safe. For example we feel anxious before an exam or interview. This motivates us to prepare for the exam or interview so that we don’t fail.
Anxiety and excitement are triggered by same chemical reactions in our body,
where adrenalin is secreted and sympathetic response takes over.
Type of anxiety
While we feel bad when we are anxious, anxiety is not always bad. Anxiety is uncomfortable but its not bad. If we learn to deal with it we can easily manage it.
You need to learn to manage it, in order to get back control of yourself. Managing anxiety is not difficult if you practice the proper techniques regularly.
But some times anxiety get over us and we are not able perform our functions properly or at all due to this. This is disordered anxiety. It becomes hard to go to work, perform any of your daily activities. The bad part is the harder you try to overcome this, it becomes more stronger.
Anxiety becomes disordered when any one perceives a danger when it is actually not real. Their thought only makes this danger real. And since their thoughts have created this they are not able to shift focus from this and anxiety becomes stronger and stronger.
Generally, a person with high-functioning anxiety may appear put together and well- accomplished on the outside, yet experience worry, stress or have obsessive thoughts on the inside.
“A person with high-functioning anxiety is fully functional and usually successful,” says Sasha Hamdani, M.D., a psychiatrist at the Psychiatry Associates of Kansas City, Kansas. “They’ll perform well at their job, handle all of their finances, balance their home life, maintain relationships, but they’re still struggling with anxious feelings and thoughts.”
